Mondays:

9.30-11.00am online,  the "Lets Talk" conversational English sessions take place to practice the English language, ask questions, make friends and find out about life in Woking.

Our Frienship Cafe'  is still running remotely with participants regularly receiving a newsletter covering various topics, a quiz and soduko puzzles. This is done via post and email and if you'd like to be involved in either the Friendship Cafe or the Let's Talk English sessions please email admin@mascotwoking.org.uk

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:

9.45am - 4.15pm at the Mascot Hub. We will currently be able to offer the following support:

Foodwise referrals - if you are struggling with shopping essentials or are in need of ready made meals we can refer you to Foodwise who are currently operating a delivery service to you door.

Foodbank - this is open from the hub every Wednesday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. You will need a voucher number to collect items.

Career support - looking for employment? We can help with creating and editing your CV, online job applications, scanning and sending documents to potential employers and helping prepare you for interview.

 

Use of laptop and IT equipment - we can help if you just need the use of a laptop or the internet to get online to check emails, type up documents, internet searches and looking for necessary information.

 

Signposting to partner agencies - you could be struggling with your mental health, have money worries or you just don't know where to find the support you need. We will gladly point you in the right direction to access support.

 

Free WiFi - if you have your own device but no internet, you can log into ours. Even if we are shut a free Wifi hotspot has been created outside the Mascot Hub for emergencies.

 

Photocopier/printer use - you can print documents or we can photocopy or scan documents for you. The printer can currently only be accessed by staff so please bear this in mind if you have personal information.

 

Support with Universal Credit - you may be needing support with your Universal Credit account or need help setting one up or updating it. 

House bidding - if you are in the Sheerwater Regeneration area and are needing to bid for council properties we can help with setting up an account or checking for properties.

 

Listening support - it's been a particularly difficult time recently due to the lockdown which is gradually easing. We cannot offer professional help but are willing to offer a listening ear to see how you can obtain the support you need locally.

Citizens Advice Woking - every Thursday from 10.00am to Midday you will be able to speak to an advisor online from the privacy of our office. Just drop-in, no appointment needed.

One to One English Language Sessions - every Wednesday from 11.00am to 12.00pm you can practice English with a tutor. This is suitable if you want to improve your general knowledge in writing, reading and speaking, increasing your confidence in the use of English or preparing for an interview.
